InterAlcaldes Magazine Announces the 2nd International Mayors Summit in Montreal (July 2026).

Montreal, Canada.— In the year North America will host the FIFA World Cup 2026, InterAlcaldes magazine, under the leadership of its CEO Miguel Ángel Ramírez, announces and invites leaders to the 2nd International Mayors Summitin Montreal, one of the official World Cup host cities. The event will take place in July 2026 as part of the festival “Made in Mexico – Fabriqué au Québec 2026,” conceived as a cultural and business week designed to bring cities, communities, and opportunities closer together across Mexico, Canada, the United States, and Latin America.

The summit is driven by a clear vision: to promote municipal diplomacy, the exchange of best practices, and the construction of concrete alliances for local development at a time when the Mexico–United States binational agenda—and increasingly the North American trilateral agenda—demands local leadership capable of attracting investment, professionalizing public services, and strengthening identity and social cohesion. Montreal—a natural bridge between North America and the Francophone world—offers the ideal setting for a modern conversation on competitive cities, tourism, culture, innovation, and international collaboration.

As a central part of the program, InterAlcaldes will welcome representatives from Mexico’s FIFA World Cup host municipalities: Coyoacán, Zapopan, and Monterrey, showcasing their tourism potential, cultural identity, and capacity to engage with international stakeholders. The invitation also extends to Latin American municipalities and local governments interested in projecting their territorial offerings and building cooperation networks.

During the “Made in Mexico – Fabriqué au Québec 2026” week, attendees will be able to participate in conferences and panel discussions focused on issues of high relevance to regional politics and economics, including investment attraction, strategic tourism, creative economy, public innovation, city management, diaspora cooperation, and partnerships with the private sector. Exhibition booths will also be installed, where participating municipalities will present projects, tourism portfolios, cultural initiatives, and collaboration opportunities. The agenda will be complemented by cultural and artistic events, as well as networking spaces with community leaders, business executives, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers.

The festival’s image—with Montreal as the main host—is also a message in itself: a contemporary celebration of Mexico and its ability to connect. From festive experiences that evoke Mexican traditions on the water to a strong visual production that positions the city as the venue for a week of exchange, the summit seeks to make culture a gateway to strategy: building useful, trustworthy, and sustainable relationships between cities.

The closing promises to be unforgettable. The week of activities will culminate with the live broadcast of the World Cup Final on the venue’s screens, followed by the “Made in Mexico Montreal” Fan Fest: a Mexican celebration in the heart of Montreal featuring mariachi music, tequila, folklore, and gastronomy, along with cultural expressions from the participating international mayors and invited exhibitors. A format that combines celebration and positioning: culture that brings people together, and cities that present themselves to the world with purpose, identity, and vision.

This summit is supported by strategic partners and networks that strengthen its community and international reach, including FHC International and the Council of Hispanic Communities, bringing together leaders, organizations, and the Latino community across Canada and North America.
